Half of all teachers leave the profession within 5 years, 16 percent change schools, and 17 percent leave and never return to teaching. Imagine having to show up at your job every day, feeling like you have no power and being told that children are failing and it is your fault. WebPraise strengths, but also effort. Both parents and teachers naturally want to encourage children and instil a positive sense of achievement, but this often takes the form of quite generic compliments, such as 'well done', or 'good work'.
