WebFirst big tip is to keep your level low. If you can get to Andre the blacksmith early on, you can become very powerful, as weapon and armor upgrading are generally more effective than leveling, and then you can go in to help people at those low levels. Next big tip is pyromancies. They have no stat requirements. WebGet the "greatsword" in No-man's Wharf. IMo, it is THE "black knight weapon" in dark souls 2, except it is a guaranteed loot. All you gotta do is Kill dragon rider, survive No-man's Wharf And get to the metal chest. Pretty much like getting the gravelord greatsword early in dark souls 1. You need 14 strength to 2 hand it.

Use a straight sword (e.g. Broad Sword) and/or Claymore, infuse each with a Raw gem, and dump your points into Vigor, Endurance, Vitality. You can still buff a Raw infused weapon.
